What is exactly extensive reading and how to read extensively to get the most out of it?

Extensive reading is best known as a practice in foreign language learning acquisition. However, it has been shown to work also for developing the learners’ general reading abilities (and I also believe that it has even more applications than that…).

We’ll start this video with a definition for extensive reading. Then, we will talk about who is extensive reading suitable for, and what you will need to do before you commit to extensive reading, in order to get the most out of it.
