UAE praised for ‘allowing people to live their lives’ in COVID-19 pandemic

United Arab Emirates resident Craig Holding says the UAE has done "a fantastic job" in ‘allowing people to live their lives’, praising the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Holding told Sky News he “landed one day, opened up the Dubai Health authority app and the next day I was able to book my vaccination.

“I was given a choice of which vaccination I’d actually like to take and then I was given a choice of the time that I would actually like to take as well.

“They’ve actually given enough vaccinations for everyone, but also more importantly given people the choice.

“The UAE has done a fantastic job in terms of actually allowing people to live their lives, if you’ve had the vaccination … You’re still able to travel, if you want to travel overseas they’re not restricting you from actually leaving the country.

“That sort of allows people to make their own choices and be free.

“Whereas obviously Australia we have a very restrictive process where you can’t even leave, unless you have a very good reason.
